Inactivated leptospira vaccine for cattle

Regardless of the age of the animal, 2 ml dose subcutaneously behind the scapula (calves, heifers and cows from 4 weeks)
Before use, the vaccine should be warmed to 15 to 25°C and the contents of the vial should be shaken well.
- Basic Vaccination
This requires the administration of 2 doses of vaccine in a 4 to 6 week interval, with the second dose administered at least 4 weeks before mating. The main effect is to prevent urinary shedding of leptospires.
If the second vaccination dose is administered at least two weeks before mating, substantial protection of the fetus will also be achieved.
Calves can be vaccinated from 4 weeks of age, two doses are required for basic vaccination. When the heifer reaches its category, it is vaccinated once more before mating.
- Revaccination
Revaccination with a single annual dose is required at least two weeks before mating to maintain protective immunity.
The contents of the vial should be shaken before use.
No information is available on the safety and efficacy of this vaccine when used with other medicinal products. Therefore, the decision to use before or after another VETERINARY MEDICAL PRODUCT should be made on a case-by-case basis.
It should not be mixed with any other veterinary medicinal product.
It can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
The effect of maternal antibodies in vaccination has not been tested.
Slow absorption of administered antigen accumulation occurs at the site of administration, which disappears within 21 days after vaccination. This altered tissue should be removed when examining meat from animals slaughtered within 21 days of vaccination.
